Classic But New
Classic race liveries with a modern twist

With over a century of history, motorsport always offers us plenty of thrills and excitement, as well as some of the most beautiful machines ever made. Over the years many classics have been born on the circuit, and insurance company Budget Direct has commissioned this series of renders to give classic race cars an updated look with recent track-only cars of the same marque.

The McLaren MP4/4 was one of most victorious race cars of the late 1980s, but bringing it to current F1 specs doesn’t quite make it recognisable except for the livery. The Ferrari 330 P4 emerged in 1967 as an endurance race car, and now this version is influenced by the LaFerrari FXXK. The Jaguar D-Type was a three times Le Mans winner in the 1950s and the updated version is inspired by the C-X75 and XJR-12. The reworked Aston Martin DBR1 takes its design cues from the latest Vantage and Valkyrie. The BMW M1 Procar, Lancia Stratos and Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO have also been given a makeover by the renderer.
