LA’s Heroes
‘Legends of Los Angeles’ exhibition

Los Angeles may not be the first place that comes to mind when you mention about motorsport, but over the years there are substantial race car makers and drivers that deserves the tribute. Petersen Automotive Museum will be hosting the Legends of Los Angeles: Southern California Race Cars and their Builders exhibition next month.

The exhibition will honour engineers and designers such as Fred Offenhauser, Harry Miller, Frank Kurtis, and Max Balchowsky. 11 cars constructed around the area, including 1924 Miller 122, 1929 Ford 22 Jr. Model A Roadster, 1963 Ol’Yaller Mark IX, 1966 AAR Eagle #31, and the 1975 Edmunds Tamale Wagon will be on displayed. The exhibition will also feature an immersive 180-degree panoramic video as well as special tribute to race driver Parnelli Jones, best known for his Indianapolis 500 victory.

A VIP exhibition reception will be held on 8 November, with video presentation about Parnelli Jones and his achievements as well as an auction featuring signed Parnelli memorabilia. The exhibition will be open to public starting from 10 November.
