We always see bolder, faster versions of the same model from independent tuners, and this BMW M2 CSR by Lightweight Performance is no different. The M2 CSR is fitted with an S55 engine, which is usually found under the hood of the bigger BMW M3 and M4 models. With its twin-turbo 3.0-litre six configuration, it is easily capable of lashing out 598 horsepower and 737 Nm of torque.

The “CSR” part of the name stands for “Carbon Sports Race” and as the German tuner’s name suggests, it features plenty of upgrades making use of lightweight materials. The roof, doors, hood, trunk lid and rear wing are all made of carbon fibre, as is the majority of the interior which also features stylish red accents throughout. These changes allow the customised model to be 430 pounds lighter than a stock M2. Sports seats, a roll cage and Michelin Cup 2 19-inch tyres in 265/35 up front and 295/30 at the rear further echo the racing spirit.
