Swedish electric bike builder CAKE has once again teamed up with Polestar to create a limited edition fully electric moped. The CAKE Makka Polestar edition has been injected with design elements from the performance e-vehicle brand, giving it a distinctive appearance that sets it apart from the standard Makka e-bike.

The co-designed CAKE Makka Polestar edition is finished in sky blue, the same shade that can be found on Polestar’s roadster concept. The slim LED headlight, rear holder, and Öhlins dampers add on the sleek look and practicality. An array of accessory options, including surf racks, topboxes, and passenger/child seats can be added, making the bike not just great for everyday commutes within the city but opening up the adventuring possibilities, too.

Weighing just 70 kg, the e-bike has a peak power of 2.8KW and a top speed of 45 km/h. The removable battery offers a range of up to 54 km and can be charged through the external charger using standard 110v/220v outlets. A full charge takes three hours, while a two-hour charge takes the battery to 80 per cent. A built-in electronic braking system regenerates braking power back into the battery for a longer range.

As attractive as it sounds, the CAKE Makka Polestar edition is currently available in selected European markets only. Hopefully, that’ll change in the near future.
