Bricks On The Feet
LEGO x adidas Originals Superstar collaboration

adidas first launched the Superstar low-top basketball shoe way back in 1969. With the leather upper and distinctive rubber shelltoe, it quickly became one of the signature styles of the German sport empire and is still in production today. The latest collaboration between adidas Originals and LEGO focuses on the classic Superstar silhouette and includes both a special edition sneaker and a LEGO brick model.

The adidas Originals LEGO Superstar sneaker looks like the standard Superstar from afar, featuring white and black leather upper, classic three stripes, and gold accents. Take a closer look, though, and you’ll see the three stripes, shelltoe, and heel tab have been cleverly transformed using a LEGO brick pattern. The special edition sneaker will also be available in kids sizes with additional colour palettes.

Then there’s the equally-stunning LEGO adidas Originals Superstar 10282 model set. Although it’s not wearable, the completed shoe model measures 12 cm high, 27 cm long and 9 cm wide, which is close to the real thing. The brick builder can choose to create the right-foot or left-foot sneaker thanks to the extra 17 brick pieces, and inside the shoe box-style packaging you’ll find a display stand, a plaque, and even shoelaces.

The adidas Originals LEGO Superstar sneaker will be available on 1 July on the adidas website, while the LEGO Superstar model will also drop at the same time at the LEGO and adidas official web and physical stores.
