Borrowed from Han Solo
Millennium Falcon-themed 2018 Nissan Rogue

Nissan has turned its 2018 Rogue into the iconic Millennium Falcon. This is not the first time Nissan has collaborated with the film series, but is the third installment of the project carried out in conjunction with the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The project is a joint effort from the Nissan team, designers from Lucasfilm and ILM and experts at Vehicle Effects to bring Han Solo’s spacecraft to life. Handcrafted aluminium body panels and 3D-printed inserts have been added to alter the shape of the Rogue. The roof-mounted radar dish, laser cannon and the multi-pane windshield took inspiration directly from the Millennium Falcon, and the overall appearance looks like it has recently gone through a battle. The subspace-hyperdrive unit spanning across the back can turn blue, while the three large speakers and the 18-inch subwoofer from Bose are there for the necessary sound effects.

The interior buttons, lights and sound effects resemble the spacecraft, as well as the centre-mounted “hyperdrive” controls and the two-row seat arrangement. Even Solo’s dice hang off the rearview mirror. As in previous collaborations, the Millennium Falcon-inspired Nissan is a one-off and for display and promotion only.
