McLaren is currently exhibiting a unique 720S created by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) team at the Dubai Motor Show. The 720S in Zenith Black satin finish is adorned with gold-coloured alloy wheels, while the interior also features plenty of golden finish components. The engine heat shield is not just painted gold, but in fact made of 24k gold. Since this is a special bespoke example, a plaque stating “1 of 1” can be found inside the car and next to the steering wheel.

Out of all the customised elements, the rear wing is probably the most unique feature. Part of a famous quote of founder Bruce McLaren: “Life is measured in achievement, not in years alone” is painted on the rear wing’s surface in gold Arabic lettering and in a style that echoes the Dubai skyline. 30 hours of work were spent on crafting the rear wing alone. Over 90 additional hours were required to complete the personalisation process, including adding carbon fibre exterior upgrades such as on the front splitter, air intakes, rear bumper, rear diffuser and roof panel.
