Battles In Central
Formula-E Hong Kong

Formula-E’s first race of the 2016 season is being held in central Hong Kong this weekend. The metropolis of seven million people has never seen anything of this scale before as the world’s most advanced race cars battle it out on a custom two-kilometre circuit that winds its way through Hong Kong’s central waterfront area.

Saturday afternoon sees Formula-E shakedown and qualifying sessions taking place, as well as the qualifying and first race of the E-Touring support class running a field of FRD-prepared VW Golf GTEs. Sunday kicks off earlier, with 10:30am first practice and the race itself starting just before 4pm.

Central hasn’t been turned into just a race track, either. A large E-Village has been set up, which provides a large range of food, drink and activities to keep you entertained whenever there’s a lull in racing on the circuit.

Although pre-sales are sold out, there are still some walk-in tickets available early Saturday morning.
