EcoFlow Blade Robotic Lawn Mower

Taking care of the backyard can be a fun hobby if you’ve got an itchy green thumb. It can also be a demanding chore, though, as it involves repetitive tasks such as trimming the grass and picking up fallen leaves. Power station manufacturer EcoFlow has launched the Blade robotic lawn mower with the aim of making some of these laborious jobs as easy as a few taps on a smartphone app.

As far as lawnmowers go, it has to be said that the Blade looks pretty damn good with its sleek lines and futuristic aesthetic. That high-tech look is more than just visual, though, as the Blade uses visual sensors and LiDAR to make sure it avoids crashing into obstacles. Users can easily set the mowing area virtually through the EcoFlow app, so no physical barriers will be required.

The robotic lawn mower is capable of offering a complete lawn treatment from a quick trim to a brand-new restyle, as it has a grass-cutting range of 0.8 to 3.0 inches, which can be adjusted easily using the app. On the top of Blade, you’ll find a built-in rain sensor, which directs the unit to scurry back to its base in the event that the weather takes a turn for the worse.

EcoFlow claims that the Blade is the industry’s first robotic lawn-sweeping mower. To unlock its full potential, the user must purchase the Lawn Sweeping Kit sold separately, but it seems to be worth it as the kit removes debris such as leaves and sticks in the yard, which is helpful, especially in Autumn when this is a frequent task.
