Audible under water
Bragi The Dash

Many Bluetooth headsets on the market advertise themselves as waterproof, but the fact is, Bluetooth technology cannot penetrate water, so even if the headset itself is waterproof, the user cannot listen to music while submerged in water. Bragi, a wireless headset brand from Munich, Germany, has tried to solve this problem with their revolutionary microcomputer intelligent headset, The Dash.

With an IPX7 water resistance rating, the Dash is equipped with Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI) to connect to the Balanced Armature, this technology is commonly found in hearing aid headsets. For years, it has proven itself to be a very reliable and stable audio transmission method. The user only needs to carry the 4GB built-in capacity machine as their offline mobile device, to listen to music at a water depth of one meter. All the controls are available on the Optical Touch Sensor on the headset. The user can also signal for answering or refusing a phone call simply by nodding or shaking their head from left to right.

Apart from playing music, The Dash has built in motion detecting sensors. Similarly to regular sports bangles and watches which records sports data, heart rate, and monitors other dynamics, the Dash also provides user with real-time information through instant voice prompts. If the user wishes to obtain a more comprehensive report, they can just view it through the headset’s exclusive app. Users can also adjust the volume, calibration, and other settings. The Dash supports 3 hours of motion tracking or 4 hours of continuous playback. It also comes with an aluminium charging case, which can charge the headset for five additional times.
