Attaining A 50 Year-Old Dream
1966 Ferrari 330 GT Speciale by The Creative Workshop

Many people would work the extra mile to obtain the things they desire. For car enthusiast Jose Fernandez, he first learned of the Michelotti designed Ferrari 340 America in a bookshop in 1961 and decided this was the car he wanted. Since the 340 America was not an easy find he would eventually commission his own.

Over the years he made hand craft models and sketches of it. He tried to alter the shape of the car as he preferred it “fatter” and wider. With information gathered from workers inside the Scallegeti factory in Modena, he took his 1966 Ferrari 330 GT (Serial #7877) and found a Sicilian mechanic from Argentina to achieve his dream but it didn’t work out. It was  put aside for years and only in 2015 that he brought the project to The Creative Workshop. With brand new, hand formed aluminium body, and carefully sourced and restored original parts and materials, the dream Ferrari as Fernandez wanted was created over three years.
