Developed with a nod to the design and portability of their earlier Beosound 2 portable speakers, Bang & Olufsen have introduced their latest mobile wireless speaker, the BeoSound 1. With its exquisite tapered anodised aluminium cylinder, the BeoSound 1 appears more like a piece of contemporary art or musical instrument than a speaker. Placed on a bookshelf, floor, coffee table, or outdoors, the BeoSound 1 blends harmoniously with its surrounding environment. It supports Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast, and DLNA plus integrated access to Spotify Connect, QPlay, and a range of other wireless audio formats. The BeoSound 1 features a pair of built-in speakers, a full-range driver and a bass driver that deliver an immersive 360° soundscape.
The volume can be adjusted by lightly twisting the control knob on top; the listener controls everything else with either a tap or a swipe. The built-in distance sensor automatically scans the room to detect the user’s location and adjusts the BeoSound 1 for the best audio distribution. Crafted for mobility, the BeoSound 1 has a built-in rechargeable battery which lasts for 16 hours, perfect for a flexible lifestyle where one’s music can follow along anywhere.
