Bang & Olufsen x David Lynch special edition speakers

David Lynch has many roles under his belt, e.g. director, screenwriter, actor, artist, and musician, to name a few. The multi-talent creator is once again collaborating with Danish audio visual brand Bang & Olufsen for a collection of speakers, after their first collaboration last year.

Lynch has been a longterm customer of the brand for its great sound and design, so the collaboration is not coming out of nowhere. For this time, selected images and elements from Lynch’s  “War Between the Shapes” series created in 1970s and “Paris Suite” lithographs created in 2007 are being featured in these limited speakers.

The full collection includes a specially designed Beosound Shape (which only one unit was made) and five units of Beoplay A9 featuring artwork from the “Paris Suite” lithographs and hand-signed signature. These items are available exclusively at MoMA Design Store, Soho from 10 October to 11 November alongside an immersive and interactive Bang & Olufsen pop-up inspired by the artist’s work. Then there are the more accessible items inspired by “War Between the Shapes”. The powerful and wireless Beoplay M5 with True 360° sound can be used as a standalone speaker or  replicated in multiple rooms, while the Beoplay P2 is a portable Bluetooth speaker with rich, full bodied sound. Both items have Lynch’s signature laser engraved or printed on them, and can now be pre-ordered in selected B&O stores.
