Another Fierce Drift Car
Ken Block’s 1977 Ford F-150 Hoonitruck for Gymkhana 10

It is difficult to imagine how powerful drift master Ken Block can up his game in every new video. While it is still over a month before we can see the “Gymkhana 10” clip, he has made a video introducing his partner in crime: the Hoonitruck converted from a 1977 Ford F-150 pickup.

Ken Block’s weapon of choice is due to the fact that he drives a truck for his daily commute, plus he learned how to drive when he was 15 on his father’s Ford F-150. But of course, a standard Ford F-150 wouldn’t be enough for his latest Gymkhana action and the team spent two years transforming the 1977 Ford F-150. In addition to the hand-shaped aluminium bodywork, the pickup has been given a custom-tuned Ford Performance V6 EcoBoost engine from the Ford GT Le Mans, making 914hp and 952 Nm. To handle the extra power, the Hoonitruck also features a Sadev six-speed gearbox and a rally-inspired all-wheel-drive system.

The Hoonitruck will be unveiled at SEMA in Las Vegas next week. “Gymkhana Ten” will be first shown on Amazon Prime’s programme The Gymkhana Files on 7 December and on Youtube on 17 December.
