There is a prevailing idea that employees with a messy desk are more creative and productive. It is difficult to prove if this theory is true or not, but a well-designed desk such has the Köllen Eget, shown here, should be able to boost anyone’s productivity.

Designed by a team of four product and graphic design students based in Barcelona, the Köllen Eget desk has a clean, almost Scandinavian look that is crafted from oak, with various features integrated into the design. There is the obvious storage space underneath the desk, while on the left hand side you have special slots for holding a few notebooks and pens. Adjacent is an integral connection system with 4 USB ports, 4 plugs and a wireless charger. The centre of the desk can be pulled out as a drawing platform, while on the right there is magnetic whiteboard. The ambient lighting is controlled by a motion sensor, and there is even a sound absorbing board at the back for a more focused working environment.
