Bollinger Motors B2 pickup

Bollinger Motors, an independent  EV startup from New York, has developed a fully electric pickup, ahead of Tesla’s plan of launching in early 2020s.

The Bollinger B2 is a fully electric pickup based on the off-road vehicle Bollinger B1, but it is much longer with open loading area. The pickup bed is 1.25m wide by 1.8m long, with cab tailgate being flipped down it can carry 1.2m x 2.4m full sheet of plywood. The rear glass can be opened and a maximum of 72 sheets of plywood can be carried, with a loading capacity of 5000lbs. Inside the cabin there are two of seats that are good for five occupants. The powertrain of B2 is based on that of B1, with the same all wheel drive setup and two electric motors powered by the 120-kWh battery pack, generating 520 hp and 514 ft-lb of torque combined. The pickup has a range of 200 miles and a top speed of 100 mph.

More details on B2 will be released in 2019. Bollinger aims to produce and launch it in 2020.
