A Thousand Horsepower
Mazzanti Evantra Millecavalli

Mazzanti Automobili launched their Evantra supercar back in 2013, and now they are ready to showcase a more extreme version, the Evantra Millecavalli, which they describe as “the most powerful street-legal hypercar ever built in Italy.”

By replacing the previous 7.0-litre V-8 engine with a new bi-turbo 7.2-litre, the output has increased from 701 to 1,000 horsepower just as its name suggests (“mille cavalli” means “a thousand horses” in Italian). Torque has also increased from 86.4 to more than 122.4 kgm, achieving a 0-to-60 sprint of only 2.7 seconds, a half-second faster than the standard version.

Though Mazzanti has not released the official images, one can glimpse its front end and profile through the teaser video available. Compared to the original Evantra, the Millecavalli features a more race-like aerodynamic kit; a redesigned lower bumper with larger diffuser and race-style canards, a revised front hood with three large vents and two downforce-enhancing elements, and a wider and flatter roof scoop extending toward the windscreen. Not satisfied with those additions, Mazzanti also added new multi-spoke wheels with track-spec tires, made the massive side vents even larger, extended the side skirts to match the widened fenders; and last but not least, installed a large wing at the rear.

Mazzanti stated they would build a limited quantity of only 25 units. With the starting price of the Evantra around US$800,000, we expect the Millecavalli will cost more than US$1.2 million.
