A Fresh Look
2024 Mercedes‑Benz GLS models

Mercedes-Benz has given its full GLS lineup — including the Maybach and AMG variants — a fresh look inside and out, with new software powering these models going on sale at the end of this year.

Starting with the GLS, the four-louvre grille is now even more striking in Silver Shadow, while the bumper is more prominent with new air inlet grilles and high-gloss black surround. At the back, the taillights have been redesigned with each side comprising three horizontal blocks. Sodalite Blue Metallic and Manufaktur Slpine Grey non-metallic are the two new paint finishes available, while the 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels in Himalaya Grey have also been added as an option. An Off-Road Engineering package can be equipped for the range, which adds an underride guard and an extra 30 mm ground clearance. The output power for the GLS450 and GLS580 has also been upped, now generating 381 hp and 517 hp respectively.

For the interior, new leather colours and trim finishes are available, with glossy brown lime wood coming as standard. Some of the interior options previously reserved for the Mercedes/Maybach GLS are now available for the whole Mercedes Benz GLS lineup, including Manufaktur glossy black lacquer flowing lines and Silver Shadow air vents. The updated MBUX infotainment system introduces new display styles — namely Classic, Sporty and Discreet — as well as new colour schemes that match the ambient lighting.

While there is no change in horsepower for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 and the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, the new models are not shy of stunning, exclusive details. The fascia of the Maybach GLS 600 stands out with chrome detailing and distinguishing “Maybach” lettering, while 23-inch forged wheels have also been added as a new option. New seat upholstery with diamond quilting further boosts the luxurious character of the interior, and optional Manufaktur Crystal White/Silver Grey Pearl and Mahogany Brown/Macchiato Beige are offered only for the Maybach.

The AMG GLS 63 now features red brake callipers and optional 22 and 23-inch forged wheels for extra sportiness. An electric panoramic sliding sunroof and heated front seats are available as standard, with exclusive Nappa leather upholstery options setting the model apart.
