70 Years Young
Citroën H by FC Automobili

If you are a van lover, you should be familiar with the Citroën Type H. It was introduced to the public in 1947 as the world’s first mass-produced commercial van to have monocoque construction. The Citroën Type H not only continued in the same spirit as the Citroën TUB but also impressed fans with its classic look. Production of the Citroën H continued until 1981 when it was replaced with the Citroën C25.

To coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Citroën H, the Italian firm FC Automobili has brought the iconic vehicle back to life with modern interpretations. Two creative brains in the company – Fabrizio Caselani and David Obendorfer, have taken the Citroën Relay complete with its advanced technologies and safety equipment and adorned it in bodywork reminiscent of the original H Van. What’s more, the duo also incorporate carbon fibre elements into the new fascia, making the reworked edition even more appealing.

Pricing details have yet to be confirmed, but FC Automobili says it will be limited to 70 units in Italy in commemoration of the iconic van’s 70th anniversary.
