Samsung has announced the launch of Odyssey Ark – the world’s first 55-inch 1000R rotating curved gaming screen, which is set to deliver stunning cinematic experiences and top-notch gaming performance.
The first thing you may notice about Odyssey Ark is the fact that the 55-inch screen can be rotated and placed vertically. This is thanks to the Height Adjustable Stand, which allows the screen to tilt and pivot functionality for the best immersive experience. As if that’s not enough, up to four screens can be displayed at once under Multi View in horizontal, and three under vertical Cockpit Mode.
In terms of technical specifications, Odyssey Ark delivers a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, and it’s back by Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Mini LED Technology which offers 4K resolution with 16,384 black levels for ultra-realistic graphics and a million-to-one static contrast ratio for ensured display with the best clarity. As for the audio, the monitor features four speakers – one at each corner – and two central woofers, all powered by Dolby Atmos and Sound Dome technology for an enhanced immersive surround sound experience.
Odyssey Ark also comes with an exclusive controller called the Ark Dial, which allows quick and simple access between various functions including Flex Move Screen, Multi View, Quick Settings and Game Bar. Some of these settings can be switched without leaving the game screen, which definitely is helpful when the user is in the middle of an important gaming battlefield.
