50 Years Of Grand Prix Racing
Specialized x McLaren S-Works Roubaix

McLaren and Specialized are launching a special edition bicycle, the S-Works Roubaix, to celebrate the automaker’s 50th year of Grand Prix racing. This is not the first project the two brands have collaborated on though, as they previously released the Venge and Tarmac bikes.

Motor racing enthusiasts may find the orange shade of the bike familiar. Specialized has named the shade Heritage Orange, after the same colour McLaren painted its race cars in late 1960s. The orange is followed through to the bespoke leather bar tape which is adorned with orange stitching.

A shiny “S” head badge and McLaren logo can be found on the frame. The custom Roval CLX 32 wheels on sparkling polished hubs mimic the silver wheels found on vintage McLaren race cars. The body is made of Specialized’s own carbon fibre FACT 11r material and paired with a Shimano Dura Ace Di2 drivetrain, 12×100 and 12×142 thru-axles, hydraulic disc brakes and S-Works carbon fibre crankset.
