Those who like to listen to music while running quickly realize that the swinging motion causes their headphones to fall from their ears. Furthermore, it is very difficult to find a pair of earplugs that fit perfectly, not to mention, the expense to get them custom made.
Nikki Kaufmann, the founder of Normal, was determined to find a solution. Before preordering a pair of Normal headphones, the user will need to download the official iOS or Android app, and then upload a clear photo of their ears. Normal will then 3D print a set of custom earbuds based on the contours of their ears. When they are combined with the basic cords, the user has a complete set of headphones. In addition, the customer can choose the colour as well as other details, which can generate up to a thousand of different combinations. Last but not least, the case is laser engraved with the user’s name. The finished product is ready within a few weeks, and if the user is not satisfied with the result, Normal will provide a free remake or a full refund.
Following their earlier Swear silicone version, Normal has upgraded their materials, using a hand sewn Nappa leather instead for their latest Suit Edition. These headphones exude a strong sense of elegance, making them perfect for business use. The headphones support Bluetooth wireless connection and power can last up to 8 hours. At the same time, the machine is skilfully implemented with a USB charging interface, making them both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
