Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A1

From the moment Bang & Olufsen founded the Beoplay series, in 2016, the line has been progressing rapidly. Having learned from their experience with their successful Beolit 15 and A2, they brought designer Cecilie Manz in-house to minimize the size of their latest portable wireless speaker– the circular-shaped Beoplay A1. Focused on a use of hybrid materials, the A1 sports an aluminium casing, which is not only sturdy but also free from any extraneous parts. With a streamlined body and a smooth texture, the A1 exhibits a strong high-tech look. Matched with a leather strap, the A1 can either placed flat on a desktop, hung on a wall, or strapped to a rucksack for outdoor use, proving the A1 is an extremely flexible and convenient design.

Despite its small size of 133 x 48mm; the A1 has a built-in aluminium cone woofer and a ¾ inch silk-domed tweeter. Supplied with advanced DSP audio processing and filtering technology, it can easily create a 360-degree sound field. It can easily sustain full sound quality in any location. It might be hard to believe, but these speakers can provide plenty of volume, making the A1 perfect for many outdoor activities. Benefitting from its aluminium shell and dual-mode base polymer body, the speaker is stable and resonance free. Last but not least, the A1 uses a rechargeable 2, 200 mAh lithium battery with enough power to provide continuous playback for up to five days. Using the USB Type-C interface connector specification, it also supports the fast charging, high-current 3A.
