Yamaha has added a new model to its 2017 YXZ1000R lineup, the 2017 YXZ1000R SS. It features a “Sport Shift” paddle shift system as well as several other improvements that make it a formidable and competitive machine.

The brand new “Sport Shift” paddle shift system combines the power, durability and efficiency of a traditional manual system with an advanced automatic clutch system that replaces the foot-operated clutch pedal with sporty paddle shifters mounted to the steering column. This clever new feature not only helps reduce driver fatigue but also makes shifting worry-free. As if that wasn’t enough, the 2017 YXZ1000R SS also features a programmed Launch System for heroic starts.

The 2017 YXZ1000R SS will be available in August 2016 starting at $20,599 for the orange and black edition and $20,799 for the blue edition.
